About Chris Board Metal Roofing
A licensed metal roofing and asbestos removal contractor that has been replacing roofs on the Gold Coast, in Brisbane and across Northern NSW for more than 20 years.
Who we are
Chris Board Metal Roofing (CBMR) was founded by Chris Board in 2004 and is based at Tallai in the Gold Coast hinterland. We do one thing: metal roofing. That means new Colorbond® and Unicote steel roofs, tile-to-metal and asbestos-to-metal re-roofs, and the fascia and guttering that goes with them.
Because we hold our own asbestos removal licence, we can take an old asbestos or decramastic roof off and put a new metal roof on with a single crew and a single point of responsibility. That is the job we do most often, and it is the reason most of our customers find us.
We work from Coolangatta to Coomera every week, through Brisbane and Logan, and down to Tweed Heads, Banora Point and Kingscliff.

Licensed Asbestos Removalist
We hold a Class B asbestos removal licence for non-friable (bonded) asbestos such as roof sheeting, so there is no second contractor and no gap in responsibility between removal and the new roof.
10-Year Workmanship Guarantee
Every roof we install is covered by our written 10-year workmanship guarantee, on top of the manufacturer warranty on the steel.
BlueScope Steel Warranty
We install genuine Colorbond® and Unicote steel. Manufacturer warranties on Colorbond® run up to 36 years depending on location and product.

We look at the roof in person, explain what we find in plain language, and give you a fixed written quote. No obligation.

Materials and colour chosen with you
Profile, colour, insulation and guttering are agreed before we order, so there are no surprises on the day.

Our own crew does the work
Strip, safety, install and clean-up are done by our team, not subcontracted out. Asbestos jobs come with full clearance documentation.

You receive the workmanship guarantee and manufacturer warranty paperwork when the job is complete.
